The Committee upheld the motions of the Competition Panel on granting The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Personal Scholarship and The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Award to the most talented young scientists regarding granting The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Personal Scholarship to the most talented young scientists in Year 2008.
The Committee upheld the candidacies of young scientists (up to 35 years old) to be granted 10 monthly scholarships, 2 thousand Hryvnias each, for Doctors of Science, and 10 monthly scholarships, 1 thousand Hryvnias each, to the Candidates of Science who elaborated doctor´s theses.
The scholarship holders represent the following sciences: technical 6 works, physical and mathematical 3 works, medical 3 works, economic 2 works; chemical, biological, psychological, historic, pedagogical and judicial sciences - 1 work each.
The scholarship holders represent scientific institutions and higher educational establishments of the following cities: Kyiv - 6 persons; Kharkiv 2 persons; Lviv 4 persons; Sevastopol, Simferopol, Dnipropetrovsk, Uzhhorod, Lutsk, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Odesa 1 person each.
